Once again in 2017, the risk & regulatory service line was the fastest growing in Benelux. Consultants saw a lot of work around PSD2 and MiFID II as clients sought out consulting support in their efforts to be compliant ahead of the January 2018 deadline.

Consultants also saw a surge of GDPR-related activity in the latter half of the year. Clients that had previously resisted the implementation of GDPR started work to be compliant ahead of the May 2018 deadline. And GDPR is expected to continue driving regulatory demand in the opening months of 2018, with plenty of clients still working towards compliance.
